Decisions

The best decisions aren’t necessarily by the smartest; rather the best positioned ones.

Those who are desperate, tend to gamble.

Your decisions are a product of past decisions.

Make smart decisions easier:

  • Make fewer daily decisions. (tackle todo lists on multiple days)
  • Imagine your decision as someone else’s. It’s less straining to offer advice than to make decisions.
  • Not every choice is equally important. Save energy for decisions that truly matter.

We have a cap for decision making. We make better decisions in the beginning of our day. More and/or complex decisions throughout the day creates decision fatigue.

Personal rules help remove the reliance of willpower from decision-making.

I don’t drink by myself.

Don’t make poor decisions to cover for the previous.

In gambling, it’s called chasing the loss.
