You can’t always control what happens.
But you can control how you react.
Behind every negative thought is a negative reflection.
Whenever I have something critical to say about people, places or things, try to understand the core of where it’s coming from. Sometimes I’ll find bitterness, fear, jealousy and other negative emotions behind it.
Positivity isn’t always about finding the best in a bad situation, or hoping for the best; it’s about approaching life and understanding world with a productive mindset.
It’s ok to not be ok.
Life isn’t fair. We can’t always turn lemons into lemonades. Sometimes there is no win or positive spin. Sometimes life can just suck. A positive mindset is just finding the strength and maturity to let things go and move on.
Toxic positivity is no a myth. I didn’t believe in it, until I felt overburdened by life, with in-laws, parenting, work and life. Trying to tackle positivity left me burnt out, incompetent, and feeling alone.
